3. Independence Day: Resurgence

Trailer 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dX4uL_0SQd8&t=1s
The second trailer was really good. It has a music that is both exciting & powerful, and really fits the tone of the film. But it was the first trailer that is probably the most perfect trailer for this movie. The music was brilliant, carrying a tone that is both dark & mysterious. And using the speech from the first movie is a really nice touch, and to end it with a quote that is cut off...just perfect! I really felt that this trailer is the best trailer imaginable for this movie. I was really, really excited for this film after watching this trailer!
(Imagine my disappointment then after watching the film....but that's another discussion for another time...)
2. Suicide Squad

This is a very prime example of excellent marketing. The movie sucks, but it earns big bucks at the box office. One of the reasons for that is because the trailers are really good, and they made it look like DC's version of Guardians of the Galaxy, which a surprise hit by Marvel a few years back.
The first Comic Con trailer above was already pretty good, despite making it feel like a darker movie. The two main trailers are really top notch and made it look like a super fun film. The best thing is is the fact that the trailers on their own are really fun & entertaining, and I like the way they fit all the action & scenes to the rhythm of the music. I watched these trailers over and over again and enjoyed them a lot every time. Even the final Comic Con remix trailer was not too bad, although by that point, it didn't feel like anything new. But the two main trailers are so very good, and I personally got super excited about this film because of them...

1. Rogue One - A Star Wars Story

Trailer 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyHweFaQw8s
Trailer 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_Mr2XfpADo
The teaser trailer is a bit standard, but I quite liked it. It is not too bad, but it is a solid teaser trailer. The first main trailer was really good, and like the Fantastic Beasts trailer, made really good use of the Star Wars theme. I like the combination of story & action, and it had some really beautiful shots, too.
The second main trailer is what really stood out for me. It does not make use of any Star Wars music, but the music that they use was perfect - which really brings out the feeling of hope. I thought that trailer was really good, and the music is just a perfect fit. As I am a SW fan, and the previous trailers have done really well, I thought nothing else can get me more excited (and not that I need to be) for this movie, but this trailer surprised me and got me even more excited that I already was. I have watched it over and over and I do personally believe that this is the best trailer for a 2016 film. Just amazing!
(I just hope I don't have to imagine a disappointment after watching this film...)
